Thanks for asking. You made me realize that the traefik RC had changed (I fixed the post) and if you look at the spec for the deployment you’ll see it specifies which hostport it wants to use

containous/traefik

This gets around the random port assignment and instead binds the ingress controller to port 80. You can do the same for 443
